The Little Mermaid

A week ago, Gio was being emo, cried and whatnot...thought that it was best to disappear or become sea foam.

So, I cried and wished to be like the little mermaid who becomes sea foam. After reflecting that sea foam wouldn't be bad to become, because you will pretty much be free and everywhere...I thought, Gio you should read the real "Little Mermaid" story.
After reading Hans Christian Andersen's "Little Mermaid" Gio was pissed at 5 in the morning.

SPOILER:
She doesn't become sea foam!!! WTH?!! Gio felt cheated!! She becomes a spirit of the air to gain a human soul...NUUUUUUuuuuuu
What have I believed all these years??!!! D':

After my little search online, I figured the source of my mistake:  Anderusen Dowa Ningyo Hime (Andersen's Story: The Mermaid Princess)

What a horrible anime OVA, or whatever you want to call it...the only one with brains was the dolphin.
Continuing with my rage, after watching this I believe I must had been a cute and innocent kid when I watched this the first time and thought it was the most touching and romantic thing ever. I definately didn't know what I was doing. Amazingly enough, I wasn't wrong and did remember the end correctly when she says "I will become foam and follow him forever" or something like that...

Not only did I felt cheated once, but TWICE!!! to clean this bad taste out of my mouth, I watched the OP of an old series  Saban's Adventures of the Little Mermaid in Spanish.

I remember bits and pieces of this, like the prince could breath underwater with a potion...don't know if I am going to ever watch this again...not after that movie.

Anyhow, my sister recomended a Russian version of the little mermaid, I might do that later. Until then...here is a picture of a mermaid in a pokemon ball cup that I did a while ago.
